MANSFIELD: Letha L. Cline of Mansfield died Thursday, September 20, 2012. She was 101 years old. She was born September 9, 1911 to William J. and Bertha L. (Patterson) Locke in Grand Ridge, Illinois. Letha lived most of her life in Mansfield and was married to Wayne W. Cline on November 27, 1929 in Mansfield. She was employed at the Leland Hotel, First National Bank and Shrigley's Juvenile Shoe Store. Letha was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the Lexington Civic Center, A.A.R.P., and Bridge Singles where she enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. She also enjoyed quilting at the Christian Church.
She is survived by a son, James D. Cline and his companion Tisha Turner; three grandchildren, Tiffany L. (Bryan) DeBois, Crystal D. Cline and Richard W. (Jaclyn) Cline; one sister-in-law, Eleanor Cline; several nieces and nephews; a special niece and nephew, that were a great help to Letha since her husband's death in March 1989, David Cline and his companion, Linda Roush, Linda (Wayne) Courtwright and Craig and JoAnn Case; very dear friends, Joyce Nichols and Joyce Angelini.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the church. Rev. Dr. Pentti Maki will conduct the service. Private burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 525 W. Cook Rd., Mansfield, OH 44907.
