MANSFIELD: Lucille Campbell led a simple and quite life. She resisted the temptation to complicate life with the unnecessary, so that the necessary could speak.
She passed away, like she lived, simply and quietly Saturday morning January 19, 2013 from Winchester Terrace dancing with joy into the presence of the Lord. She was 93.
Born Emma Lucille Meyer February 5, 1919 in Havana, Ohio to William and Nina Meyer, she was graduated from Mansfield Senior High School.
Lucille worked at both Westinghouse and The H.L. Reed Company, and was a member of First English Lutheran Church.
Her simple joy was founded not in the absence of pain or suffering, but in the unspeakable joy of knowing the Lord and living in His presence. She dearly loved to hear her family speak of scripture, and pray with her. And her positive spirit was always a blessing - even encouraging and entertaining - to the dearly loved staff of Winchester Terrace.
She is survived by her three children Jerry "JC" Campbell of Lexington, Judy Braddock of Mansfield and Rick & Kathryn Campbell of Mansfield; grandchildren Kelly & Brian Pack, Jamie & Randy Miller, Jason & Sara Braddock, Donnie & Jennifer Smallridge, Toby & Melanie Campbell and Stephanie & Jude Manuella; 15 great grandchildren; and a sister Viola Williams of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James D. Campbell and a brother Junior Meyer.
A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, January 21, 2013 in Lexington Cemetery. Pastor Thomas Blair will officiate.
The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Campbell family, and private condolences may be made to them online at: www.snyderfuneralhomes.com
