BELLVILLE: "Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven" (Matthew 5:12). Micaiah will ring in the new year surrounded by the glory of his Heavenly Father. He will be severely missed here on earth, but we know today he is dancing beside the Lord he loves so much.
Micaiah Christian Erich passed away following an accident at home Thursday, December 26, 2013. He was 13.
Born September 12, 2000 in Bellville he was the son of Ronald T. Erich, II and Mimma (Pagano) Erich. Micaiah was the youngest among ten brothers and sisters and homeschooled under the tutelage of his mother and father.
Micaiah was a true adventurer. He enjoyed repelling, zip lining, four-wheeling, and climbing. He loved hunting and fishing and air-soft wars. His brilliant mind wasn't satisfied until he knew how everything worked. He loved building things and reassembling them, one of his favorite mediums was Legos. He was always interrogating his sisters, but delighted in helping them every chance he could. Micaiah was truly a responsible young man who, above all, loved the LORD his GOD with all his heart, soul, and mind.
He attended River of Life Church in Butler and Citi Church in Bellville. Micaiah enjoyed Kingdom Men Bible Study Time with his dad and brother, and bonding with his father, whom he idolized.
In addition to his loving parents Ron and Mimma, he is survived by siblings (and spouses) Ashley (James) Gingerich of Salem, KY, Erin (Josh) Byler of Big Prairie, Alyssa Erich of Lexington, Nathan Erich of Bellville, Hannah (fiancé Cameran Lutze) Erich of Bellville, Bethany, Sadie, Hadassah and Charity Erich all of Bellville; nieces and nephews: Israel, Makayla, Gabriel, Keziah, Jasmine, Haley, Danton, and Nikita; close friends and "adopted brothers" Milo Glick, Matt Byler, and Geoffery Shumer; maternal grandparents Filippo & Innocenza Pagano of Mayfield; paternal grandparents Ronald & Gail Erich of Willoughby Hills, and a host of brothers and sisters in Christ.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 3-7 p.m. in River of Life Church, 111 West Elm Street, Butler, 44822, where his funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Bunkerhill Cemetery.
