DANVILLE: Ramona June Good, 82, of Hunter Rd., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday Aug. 8, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, surrounded by her family, the greatest joy in life.
She was born May 21, 1931 in Lexington, KY to the late Robert and Eunice (McKinney) Bigelow, one of their eleven children.
She married Neil Good on June 29, 1949 in Chillicothe, who preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1977.
She loved and raised six children of her own, and claimed all others that happened to walk through her door. It wasn't long before they were calling her "Mom" or "Grandma". She was a member of the Church of Christ in Brinkhaven. She retired from Rubbermaid in 1994 after 18 years of service. She loved nature in every shape, form, color, and season. She especially loved owls, which she collected avidly. Her favorite season was fall. She loved going for drives, looking at the changing colors of the leaves and flowers. She also loved meteor showers, thunderstorms, horses, and big dogs. Her favorite horse, "Whiz" was born on 7-7-77. She loaned him out to a therapeutic riding stable, where he died at the age of 33.
Ramona is survived by a sister, Sue Hord of Kentucky; a brother, Victor (Ruby) Bigelow of Shelby; her six children, Neil Good, Bunny Hicks, Kathy (Roger) Durbin, and Robyn (Roy) Hayes, all of Danville, Mike (Caroline) Good of Wooster, and Beverly (Steve) Haines of Pataskala; a step-son, Donald Asher of Ft. Wayne, IN; Angie Good of Wooster; nine grandchildren, Shannon (Orbery) Lane, Matthew (Kristi) Durbin, Brian Durbin, Darcey (Terry) Byers, Deanna Wojtseck, Jamie (John) Burger, Adam Good, Chad (Tiffany) Good, and Don Asher, fifteen
great- grandchildren; Brandon, Brittni, Seth, Maddison, Adrianna, Hunter, Dalton, Darien, Morgan, Patience, Collin, Ashton, Blake, Brandy, Zack; two great-great-grandchildren, Dillon and Ethan, and her beloved Saint Bernard, "Murphy".
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers; four sisters; and one granddaughter.
