ASHLAND: Richard L. Robertson, 74 of Ashland, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in the Kingston.

He was born in Ashland on September 23, 1938 and was the son of the late Norman R. and Betty J. (nee Harbaugh) Robertson.

Dick lived his entire life in Ashland. He graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1960. He started his photography business in 1961-1973. Dick worked for National Latex Corporation from 1973-1977, Younkin & Sons Trucking Company 1977-1986, and Community Industrial Sales & Services in Mansfield 1988-1990. In 1992 he started Dick Robertson's Business Center in his home, and specialized in accounting, taxes, and other business work. Dick served as Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 506, sponsored by the First United Methodist Church for 18 ½ years. He also served the Old Trail District as Roundtable Commissioner, District Advancement Chairman, District Assistant Commissioner, Explorer Advisor, Advisor to Lou Ott Lodge of the Order of the Arrow. In 1985, Dick was awarded the District Award of Merit, Scoutmaster of the Year eight times, Outstanding Troop Award for 12 consecutive years. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ross C. and M. Rhieta (nee Smith) Harbaugh; great-grandparents, Clyde C. and L. Maude (nee Metcalf) Smith.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend James Cox officiating. A private burial will take place in Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the services at the funeral home.
