Robby E. "Rob" Johnson

BUTLER: Robby E. "Rob" Johnson, 39, of Columbus passed away unexpectedly at his home Friday, November 8, 2013.

Rob was born in Mansfield on October 9, 1974 to Randall and Judy (Tucker) Johnson. A 1994 graduate of Clear Fork High School, Rob earned his certificate in restaurant management from Knox County Career Center.

Before moving to Columbus, Rob was as a member of the Worthington Township Fire Department in Butler. Rob worked as the assistant manager of Duke & Duchess in Westerville. Rob always had a smile on his face and would lend a helping hand to anyone. He loved to talk to people and joke around. Rob loved his dog Princess.

He is survived by Ted Raver of Columbus his domestic partner of 11 years; mother Judy Johnson of Mansfield, father Randall (Karen) Johnson of Butler; sister Michelle (Ron) Crawford of Shelby; brother Ed Johnson of Butler, sisters Cindy (Kerry) Ward of California, Betty Johnson of Mansfield, Michelle Bolles of Mansfield, brother-in-law Dave Bolles of Butler; grandparents Lois Kilgore of Mansfield; Phyllis Johnson of Butler; nieces and nephews Ronald Bigelow Jr., Ariel Bigelow, Randall Crawford, Makayla Crawford, Misty Duncan, Samantha Snyder, Brandy Ward, Chad Ward, Ashley Kean, Donald Johnson, Danielle Johnson, Miranda Hardrick, Malachi Johnson, Daniel Dunham, Josh Dunham, Elizabeth Dunham, Amber Nofzinger, Ashley Bolles, and numerous great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins; Ted's relatives Larry Amorine of Columbus, and Judy Irvin of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Jack Kilgore, Glen Johnson, Leroy & Ethel Spohn, Mable Ream, Don and Jean Sovine.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 15, 2013 from 4-7pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will begin at 7pm. Pastor Mark Detmer will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Snyder Funeral Homes (to assist the family with Rob's funeral expenses) or the Richland County Humane Society, or Worthington Township Fire Department may be made through the funeral home.
