MANSFIELD: Timothy "Timmy" G. Cooper, 57, of Mansfield, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2013.
Timmy was born on April 4, 1956, in Mansfield, to Billy Ray Cooper and Rosa Cooper Partin. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a house painter and attended the Living Word Church in Mansfield.
He is survived by immediate family: mother, Rosa Partin; daughter, Anissa Cooper (Julian) Coppola-Zahave; grandchildren, Joshua, Rebekah & Brianna Schrock, brother; Tony (Ty) Fava. Extended family: brothers; Frank (Charlene) Fava and Dino (Pam) Fava; sisters, Anna Fava Horner and Linda Fava Dougherty; step-brothers, Billy B. Partin, Jr., Roger (Helen) Partin, and David (Linda) Partin; 39 nieces and nephews; special uncle & aunt, Achille (Maria) Aquino and family of NY. Special best friends: Nathan Robinson, Steve Bolles, Cathy Hutchinson, Eric Kuehl, Jay Horner, Glen Qualls, Chris Hoffman, Matt Hutchinson, Brenda Bewinkler, Steve & Laurie Jordan, and Bill & Joella Goode.
Tim was preceded in death by: father, Billy Ray Cooper; stepfather, Billy B. Partin; sister, Rose Marie Yates; step-brothers, Larry S. Partin and Michael L. Partin; step-sister, Gail VanRiper; nephew, Derek Dougherty; great-nephew, Dale Alan Yates; great-niece, Rebecca Yates; and great-nephew, Konner Dougherty Hamilton.
Calling hours will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2013 with calling hours starting at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ron Kosa officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery with full military honors performed by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
