The Guest Book is expired.
MANSFIELD: Belma "Becky" Eileen Hutchinson West, 89, of Mansfield died February 17, 2014.
Heaven has gained another angel. Becky crossed over into her Heavenly home and is with her loved ones in Heaven who have gone on before her. She battled dementia for 25 years, keeping her good nature through it most of the time which was shown by her coming down the halls at the nursing home singing Red River Valley and smiling a big smile.
She was born as Belma Eileen Hutchinson to Lawrence and Mary (Forker) Hutchinson in Zanesville, Ohio on August 31, 1924. After graduation, she went to work at Tappan Stove Company where she met Bob West and they were married September 2, 1944. They had two daughters and a son who survive. Bob preceded her in death on January 15, 2000.
Becky retired from Hartman Electric Company after 35 years of service. She loved to work in her flower gardens, take bike rides (still riding at 75 years of age), and play bingo in Florida where she and Bob "snow birded" for 14 years. Most of all, she loved being with her family and looked forward to any get together, no matter where it was.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Pat and Sam Nichols, Sandy and Bob Anschutz, Bob and Grace West; her grandchildren and their spouses, Kevin and Kim Anschutz, Brian and Kim Anschutz, Ryan and Kristen Nichols, Rob and Angel West, Jim and Michelle West, and Mark and Jackie West; and great grandchildren, Tucker and Abigail Anschutz, Ryeland Anschutz, Tiffany, Daniel, Lauren, and Robby West, Baylie West, James, Bobby, Christopher, and Jonathon West. Her siblings surviving are: Larry Hutchinson, Jr., Gerald and Mitzi Hutchinson and Shirley Earhart. She had numerous nieces and nephews who were special to her also, as well as her close friends from the Hartman Company.
Funeral services, conducted by Pastor Bob Doerr, will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd., Ontario. Family and friends are invited to visit for one hour before the service, from 12-1 p.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
We know mom would want us to thank all of those who helped her through this long journey. As bad as she might have felt, she could always muster a "Thank you".
