Elaine Dorothy Lamb Folger

MANSFIELD: Elaine Dorothy Lamb Folger, 82, of Mansfield, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at her home, with her family by her side.

Elaine was born November 21, 1931 in Cleveland to Robert Allen and Dorothy Darnell (George) Lamb. Since 1956, she has faithfully served the Lord in the ministry with her husband, Pastor Richard Folger, at five different churches, 22 of those years in Kentucky and most recently at Mansfield Baptist Temple. Elaine worked as a secretary and loved to travel. She was an artist and a writer, having one book published.

Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Pastor Richard Folger of Mansfield; three daughters, Sandy (Brian) Rissler, Shari (Eric) Bascom, and Susan (Dr. Steve) Gardilcic all of Mansfield; nine grandchildren, Amber Grate, Brittany Boyce, Adam (Laura) Bowman, Rusty Rissler, Hillary Rissler, Alex Bowman, Avery Bowman, Austin Rissler, and Adrianna Gardilcic; four great-grandchildren, Cole, Carter, Violet, Layla; one brother, Robert (Barb) Lamb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by one son, Randy Folger; and one sister, Geraldine Donaldson.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 at Mansfield Baptist Temple, 752 N. Stewart Road, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the church with Pastor Robert J. Kurtz, Pastor Kevin Folger, and Pastor Dale V. Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland Co. Memorial Park.
