WOOSTER: Loretta Jurane Sparks, 66, of Wooster, went to be with the Lord April 4, 2014 at Akron General Hospital. Born May 11, 1947 in Logan, WV, she was the daughter of Columbus and Thelma (Spears) LeMaster. Loretta loved the Lord and singing His praises. She was always faithful to her friends and family. A kind and gentle soul, Loretta was still a firecracker. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking, cake decorating, and planting flowers. She was an ultimate mom and homemaker.
Surviving are her daughters, Deanna Dawn (Terry) McQuistion, Daphne Rae (Troy) Snider, Dawana Dove Sparks, and Desiree Davanna Sparks; son, Donald Ray (Erin) Sparks, Jr.; grandchildren, Aaron (Rachel) Henderson, Ashley Rae (Daniel) Crites, April (Alan) Bostick, Nevaeh and Erianna Sparks, and Briar Ray Sparks; great grandchildren, McKinlee Crites and Isaac Henderson; siblings, Joyce Shetler, Sharon Davis, and Doug (Ilene) LeMaster; sister in-law, Beulah "Boots" LeMaster; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Ray Sparks Sr.; and brother, Billy LeMaster.
Funeral services, conducted by Pastor Gary Lambert, will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd., Ontario. Family and friends are invited to visit for two hours prior to the service from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
