Karl Angeloff

MANSFIELD: Karl Angeloff, 87 of Mansfield, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Liberty Care Center in Mansfield surrounded by his family.

He was born in Mansfield on September 6, 1926 to the late John E. and Paraskevie (Petru) Angeloff and married Maria Ivanova on July 28, 1958. She survives.

Karl had worked for the former A&P in Mansfield for 28 years and retired from the United Food and Commercial Workers Union in 1983 as a business representative. He was a member of St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church in Fairlawn, Mansfield Liederkranz and the Sons and Daughters of Herman Lodge 14.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, John Angeloff and James Angeloff, both of Mansfield, Julie (David) Williams of Virginia and Jill (Scott) Spidell of Mount Eaton; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson; sisters, Helen Rakich and Mary Madore; and brothers, George and Elia Angeloff.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario, with Father Vlado Bakurdzhiev officiating. Burial will follow in the Mansfield Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 PM at the funeral home where a Trisagion Service will be held at 4:30 PM.
