MANSFIELD: Eleanore (Diane) Brown-Jones, 52, went home to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 after an extended illness.

Diane was born Saturday, June 3, 1961, in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Anderson N. and Martha J. "Tiny" (Walker) Brown Sr. She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1980, later graduating from The State Beauty Academy, Marion, Ohio. After graduating, she resided in California and also Atlanta, Georgia prior to returning home.

She loved spending time with her children and family as well as her dachshund "Mona" Lisa. Her many hobbies were sewing, reading, playing cards, board games, assembling puzzles and turning them into wall hangings. Diane accepted the Lord at an early age and transitioned into a Spirit Filled Believer which encouraged and strengthened her during her illness. She was a faithful member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, Bishop William Morris, Jr., pastor. She loved her pastor and church family being involved in the Music and Floral Ministries.

Diane leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Destiny Brown, a son, Jamaar Jones, a grandson, Christian Brown, all of Mansfield; two brothers, Elder Anderson N. (Teresa) Brown, Jr., Palmdale, CA, Harlan B. (Carla) Brown, Las Vegas, NV; three foster sisters, Perrise Chapman, Fayetteville, GA, Kimberly (Ricky) Minard, Mimaco Grant both of Mansfield; two uncles, Tony Walker, Elder Sidney (Marie) Brown, Sr.; aunt, Clara (Nathaniel) Moore Sr., all of Mansfield; Reginald Jones of Mansfield, with whom she remained friends; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents, Walter L. and Irene Brown Sr.; maternal grandparents, Otto and Minnie Holt.

Homecoming celebration services to be held Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with calling one hour from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Small's Funeral Services, 326 Park Avenue West, Mansfield, Ohio 44906 with Pastor Renea Collins officiating. The committal service will be conducted immediately following the services.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the home of her daughter's, 750 Maple Street apartment 6A, Mansfield, Ohio 44906 from 4 - 8 nightly until the day of the service.

Memorial contributions can be made to North Central Hospice of Ashland, Ohio.

The family have entrusted Small's Funeral Services with the arrangements.
