Rebecca A. Bekeleski

MANSFIELD: Rebecca A. Bekeleski, 60, of Mansfield, died Sunday, May 25, 2014 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born July 1, 1953 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Homer B. and Roberta (Howell) Cooley.

Rebecca attended Malabar High School, retired from General Motors and was a member of the U.A.W. She enjoyed reading the newspaper, shopping, cooking and being outdoors but her greatest joy was being around her family, especially her grandchildren, on the holidays.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Harvey of Mansfield and John D. (Tammy) Harvey of Bellville; a daughter, Michelle Bekeleski of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Mackenzie Harvey, McKayla Harvey, Elizabeth Bekeleski and Ellie Carter; three brothers, Ray Wolford of Texas, David (Carolyn) Cooley of Arkansas and Butch (Ellen) Cooley of Mansfield; two sisters, Margaret Czepiel and Betty Herrad both of Florida; a host of nieces and nephews; and good friends, Kathy Alexander and Shelly Perry both of Mansfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Sheryl Wolford, Gene Wolford and Billy Cooley; and two sisters, Brenda Swander and Janet Howard.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Pastor Rick Basting. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your own choosing.
