Mark Eichorn

LEXINGTON: A lifelong dairy farmer, Mark Eichorn appreciated and taught his family the value of a strong work ethic. His humble nature and giving spirit expressed an unwavering faith in the Lord. "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up," James 4:10. Full of integrity, Mark honored God each and every day, and in return received countless blessings.

His hardworking hands now at rest, Mark Eichorn, 89, of Lexington passed away Friday morning, May 30, 2014 in Lexington Court Care Center surrounded by his family.

The son of Louis and Annie (Bender) Eichorn, Mark was born May 8, 1925 in Clarence, New York.

It was at church that Mark first met Leona Miller. On March 23, 1949 Mark and Leona were married. While in New York, Mark worked as a dairy farmer. He milked, bottled, and delivered milk until 1957 when he and Leona purchased their own dairy farm in Lexington.

Serving on the church council for many years Mark was a member of Johnsville Mennonite Church. He loved helping others and his giving spirit always remained strong. Missions minded, he selflessly gave to the church mission's fund.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Leona Eichorn of Lexington; sons Tim (Dianna) Eichorn of Lexington, Mervin (Jody) Eichorn of Galion, Delmar (Kathy) Eichorn of Lexington, Lloyd (Heiden) Eichorn of Lexington, daughter Rhonda (Bill) Hall of Warsaw; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and extended family.
