BUTLER: Helen Crill attributed her longevity to her daily diet of green onions and garlic, always baking with lard and serving up ultra-sweet tea. At the regal age of 101, Helen Dail (Thatcher) Crill, of Butler, passed away early Friday morning surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness.

Helen was an avid Clear Fork Colts Fan, crocheting many blankets for the Clear Fork football fans and was still attending home games at the young age of 99. She was also well known for her butterscotch pies that she baked and donated to the boosters club for bingo nights. Helen loved reading, gardening and most of all, spending time with her family.
