MANSFIELD: Ella Mae Mollett, 78, of Mansfield, died July 6, 2014. Born June 17, 1936 in Tomahawk, KY, she was the daughter of Everett and Clara (Mills) Horn. A faithful woman, she read her bible often. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and gardening and mostly, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Ella was a member of Eastern Star and attended Stiving Road Baptist Church and Dean Road Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Jerry (Wanda) Mollett Jr. of North Richland Hills, TX and Beverly (Matthew) Mayer of Mansfield; grandchildren, Kasey and Cody Mollett, Mackenzie, Morgan, and Matthew II Mayer, Nicole Yates, and Justin and Lindsay Curtis; great-grandchildren, Skyler Stamper, J.J. Fyffe, Ellie Mayer, Spencer Mollett, Mason Mollett, and Presley Mollett; brothers and sisters, Everett (Carolyn) Horn Jr., Jack (Gladys) Horn, Ann (Bob) Parsley, and Beuford (Dottie) Horn; sister-in-law, Delores Mills; and special persons in Ella's life, sister-in-law, Grethel "Grat" Mollett, cousin, Billie Jean Tridico, and numerous other family and friends throughout Ohio and Kentucky.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents; husband who died in 2001, Jerry Mollett Sr., whom she married July 12, 1954; daughters, Brenda Mollett who died in 1974 and Linda Mollett Yates who died in 1991; and sister, Euladine Jennings.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Glenn M. Phillips, will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Windsor Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made through District 5 Area Agency on Aging to the Senior Services Levy Program (STARS) in Ella's memory, 2131 Park Avenue West, Ontario, OH 44906.
