MANSFIELD: Wylie Tabor, 77, of Mansfield, died early Sunday morning, August 24, 2014 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky on December 28, 1936 to the late Mary (Dailey) and Russell Tabor.

Wylie retired from Empire Detroit where he worked as a pipe-fitter. He enjoyed playing euchre and riding his tractor. He appreciated the beauty of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and walking through the woods. Most important of all, was spending time in the company of his family, whom he dearly loved.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Mosier Tabor; three sons, Dan (Linda) Tabor of Shelby, Don (Debbie) Tabor and Dexter Rodney Tabor (Rebecca Franks), both of Mansfield; three grandsons, Aaron Daniel Tabor of Mansfield, Darren Tabor and Cole Tabor, both of VA; two granddaughters, Sabrina Tabor of Fredericktown and Chrissy Tabor of Mount Vernon; four great-grandchildren, Clayton, Dylan, Destiny and Daisy Tabor; three sisters, Jo-Ann (Bill) Stamper and Betty (James) Littleton, both of Mansfield and Maggie (Joe) Gurule of AZ; good friend, Quentis Stamper of Lucas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Wylie Franklin Tabor and Jesse Paul Tabor; a brother, Labe Tabor; and a sister, Mamie Browning.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Rick Pelfrey officiating. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Cemetery.
