LOUDONVILLE: Phyllis J. McCleese Bentley, 74, of Loudonville, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at her home following an extended illness.
Phyllis was born September 5, 1939 in Vanceburg, Kentucky to Earl and Hazel (Fannin) McCleese. She attended Lighthouse Chapel and enjoyed singing for the Lord and talking about her grandkids. Phyllis battled health issues her entire life, but instead of being discouraged, she would share how wonderful God was, and how much He had done for her. She and her husband Joseph touched so many lives by how they lived, and how they brought others into their home.
Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Nicole (Carl) Meyers and Bev (Coby) Bartram of Loudonville; six grandchildren, Keith, Nathan, and Jacob Bartram, Megan, Joey, and Levi Meyers; three sisters, Dorothy Adkins, Louise Bear, and Nova Prise; one brother, Jim (Connie) McCleese; and several nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bentley; and parents.
