DAVID WALKER

MANSFIELD: David R. Walker, 67, of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014, following a lengthy illness.

David was born on January 28, 1947, in Mansfield, to David J. and Alice M. Shepherd Walker Todd.

He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy, during the Vietnam War. David loved and served his country, and loved the right to vote. He enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, and drinking his coke. He was most proud of his grandchildren, and loved spending time with them.

He is survived by two children, Tammy (Greg) Fraley and Allen (Annette) Walker of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Austin Fraley, Ally Walker, Dylan Fraley, and Lyla Walker; two sisters, Betty (Larry) Raphael of Mansfield and Dottie (Roger) Dunn of Lancaster; one brother-in-law, Milton Adams of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Adams Walker.

Calling hours will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, with calling hours starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Mansfield Memorial Park with full Military Honors performed by the R.C. Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
