Heather A. Hawkins

LAKEWOOD: Heather A. Hawkins, 35, of Lakewood, Ohio, formerly of Mansfield, died Friday, September 9, 2011 in Lakewood, Ohio. Born Heather Annette Renchen January 12, 1976, she was the daughter of John Renchen and Sandra (Renchen) Gossett. Heather graduated from Ontario High School in 1994 and from NCTC in 1997 with honors. While in high school, she was an allstar in both softball and soccer winning numerous awards. Heather was featured in Who's Who of High School students in 1993. A workaholic, she often worked two jobs and at a young age was promoted to Assistant Manager at Long John Silvers. She later moved to Lakewood, Ohio taking a job with Taco Bell. Heather loved to write poetry and had several poems published while in high school. Next to the love for her sons, Braison and Nicholas Hawkins, she loved Mickey Mouse and was an avid collector.

Heather is survived by her sons, Braison and Nicholas Hawkins of Mansfield; her mother and step father of 22 years, Sandra and Scott Gossett of Mansfield; a sister, Diana Kling of Mansfield; her grandparents, Marjorie White of Mansfield and John and Leona Grubaugh of Galion; her father, John Renchen of North Carolina; her nieces, Justenne Kling and Jayna Price of Mansfield; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth White and Joseph and Gertrude Renchen; and an uncle, Larry Renchen.

Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
