CRESTLINE: Frank P. Arnett, 93, of 915 Park Road, Crestline, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at his home.

Frank was born in Kenton on March 1, 1919 to the late Frank L. and Edna M. (Spitzer) Arnett. He married Rowena F. Failor on July 11, 1943 and she preceded him in death June 23, 2001.

Frank has lived in Crestline since 1946. He and his wife operated Arnett's Grocery for 22 years and Frank's Treat Time, Crestline, for 12 years. In 1980, Frank retired from Frank's Treat Time, selling the business to his son, Dennis. To this day, Frank's Treat Time remains a favorite place for ice cream in Crestline. He was a member of Calvary United Church of Christ and an original charter member of the Open Door Sunday School Class. A member of the Galion Lodge #414 F. & A.M., Frank was a 60 year member of the former Arcana Lodge #272 F. & A.M. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving from June 1942 to November 1945. He was also a member of the American Legion, Crestline.

Frank is survived by his two sons: Thomas (Lynette) Arnett of Enon and Dennis Arnett of Crestline; a sister, Marie Rodriques of Seminole, FL; three grandchildren: Shayna (Vuc) Vajovic, Emily (Michael) Woods, Matthew (Eusondia) Arnett; and three great-grandchildren, Audrey, Olivia and Gabriel Woods.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Sandi Nadeau and her husband Chuck Nadeau, brothers Albert Arnett and Lewis Arnett.

Friends may call Monday from 10:30 - 11:00 AM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline, with Pastor Fred Bleck and Rev. Dr. Ronald Kline, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary United Church of Christ.
