Margaret C. "Billie" Craze

MANSFIELD: Margaret C. "Billie" Craze, 95, a good and faithful servant, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on September 4, 2012. Maggie, having battled something that steals memories, leaves us with many wonderful memories to cherish. Born May 5, 1917 in Hughes Creek, Hugheston, West Virginia she was the daughter of Robert C. and Millie May (Redman) Tucker. Moving to Mansfield, Ohio early in life, she was a hard working industrious woman. Maggie was employed at many local industries including Barnes Pumps, Westinghouse, and retiring from Perfection Manufacturing to name a few, but most notably she was one of the first employees of Therm-O-Disc. She also balanced her time to help her husband manage and care for their many rental properties. Her basement was a community sewing room with all the equipment needed and usually a large group of woman making quilts during the week. She was a woman of selfless generosity with her time and resources, never knowing a stranger, always making the new face at church feel welcome. Her children, most of all, whom she called "her boys", were her life. Next to her boys, her grandchildren were her first priority. She was the family matriarch, normally responsible for all family reunions and celebrations. If you asked Maggie, her most notable accomplishment was raising her three "redheaded" sons, second to her loving care of her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.

Maggie is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Charlene Craze of Houston, TX, Michael and Judith Craze and Dennis and Denise Craze all of Mansfield; grandchildren, Bill K. Craze, Penny Murphy, Jody Craze, Cara Guzman, Cherie Craze and Aaron Craze; great grandchildren, Amber, Lauren, McKenzie, Mason and Emerson; great great grandchild, Lennon; brothers, Lester Tucker of West Virginia and Robert Tucker of Mansfield; and a sister, Francis Craze of Mansfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Craze; brother, John Robert Tucker; sisters, Camilee Copeland and Effilee Hudnall; and her first husband, Manual Craze.

Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario.
