W. Larry Hursh

GALION: W. Larry Hursh, 69, of Galion, was called to his heavenly home Sunday, March 24, 2013 following an apparent heart attack.

Larry was born in Bremerton, WA on March 11, 1944 to Helen E. (Crouthers) Hursh of Mansfield and the late Russell W. Hursh. He married Donna J. (Blair) Terman Hursh on May 2, 1975 and she preceded him on December 22, 2006.

He was self-employed as an orthodontic technician. He was a graduate of the Class of 1963 from Mansfield Senior High School, Mansfield. Larry attended the Free Methodist Church, Galion. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam as a Petty Officer 3rd Class. Larry enjoyed cycling, jogging, the outdoors, painting on canvas and watching movies.

He is survived by his step-children: Yvonne & Bill Wenger, Massillon, Christine & Ron Baker, Galion and Chuck & Terri Terman, Flushing, OH; three grandsons: Robert J. Terman, Chad Eggeman and Robert Eggeman; four great-grandchildren; his mother Helen E. Hursh; brother David & Kathleen Hursh, Mt. Vernon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Free Methodist Church, 683 Portland Way North, Galion, with Rev. Paul Walter officiating. Full military honors provided by the United States Navy and the Richland County Veteran's Association will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
