Forest G. Camp Jr

MT GILEAD: Forest G. Camp Jr., 82, of Lexington, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013, at Morrow County Hospital, following a sudden illness.

Forest was born on May 28, 1930, in Clinton, OH to Forest G. and Emma Malone Camp. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He loved gardening, flea markets, and raising chickens. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Chapter 51. He married Isabel Salts on October 12, 1956, and she survives.

Along with his wife, he is survived by one son, Robert Camp; two daughters, Diana Boor and Cheryl Borgens; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Eileen Baker, Helen Cottrel, and Ann Belcher.

Forest was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother, Pete Gaston.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013 at Shauk Cemetery, Lexington, with Military Honors being performed by Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail. Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield is handling the arrangements.
