James L. Zornes

MANSFIELD: James L. Zornes, 79, of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at his residence.

James was born on July 23, 1933, in Ashland, KY to Greek A. and Edna M. Burnett Zornes. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was proud to be employed by Mansfield Aircraft and Product Co. (MAPCO). He enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, western movies, and bluegrass music.

He is survived by three children, Lloyd (Debra) Zornes, Michael (Karen Bias) Zornes, and Cora Mae Harless, all of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Christopher (Vickie) Zornes and Gregory Allen Zornes, all of Mansfield; and five great-grandchildren, Jenna Wright, Brianna Zornes, Angel Zornes, Robbie McCoy all of Mansfield, and Danielle McCoy. James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Zornes, his son-in-law Joseph W. Harless, and three brothers, Linwood Zornes, Jerry Zornes, and Lawrence Kibbey.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at his residence. Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield, is handling the arrangements.
