George W. Hannan

PERRYSVILLE: George W. Hannan, 88, of Perrysville died Monday evening, June 24, in Hospice of North Central Ohio after a three month illness. George was born September 14, 1924 in Loudonville, the son of the late James L. and Ruth (Wachtel) Hannan. He was a 1942 graduate of Perrysville High School and had lived in Perrysville most of his life. He was a US Army veteran of World War II serving in Europe during the "Battle of the Bulge". George was a 31 year employee of Mansfield Plumbing Products, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Perrysville and was a past member of the Perrysville Village Council. On November 7, 1947 he married R. Audrey Frank and she died July 24, 2012.

George is survived by his daughter, Darla (Rick) Freeman of Butler; his son, Gary (Sherry) Hannan of Loudonville; 10 grandchildren, Aaron (Stephanie) Freeman, Jason (Maggie) Freeman, Isaac (Chelsea) Freeman, Hannah Freeman, Luke (Melissa) Freeman, and Leah Freeman, all of Butler, Sarah (Joe) Wharton of Mansfield, Seth (Emily) Freeman of Lucas, Tabitha (Zachary) McDonald of Tarawa Terrace, NC and April Hannan of Akron; 18 great grandchildren, Brayden Freeman, Hunter Freeman, Alexa Freeman, Grant Freeman, Natalee Freeman, Lincoln Freeman, Maegann Freeman, Wyatt Freeman, Jaylynn Freeman, Deven Freeman, Jessica McDonald, Brooklynn McDonald, Faith Wharton, McKenna Wharton, Violet Freeman, Finn Freeman, Lance Freeman, and Parker Freeman; and his sister, Carolyn Force of Shreve. George was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a great grandson, Lee Jordan Freeman, 5 brothers, Fred, David, Joe, James Jr., and Jack Hannan, and a sister, Martha Simms.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28 at 11:00am in LINDSEY FUNERAL HOME, LOUDONVILLE, with Rev. Richard Beal officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8pm in Lindsey Funeral Home.
