Dennis Branstool Obituary
MANSFIELD: Dennis C. Branstool, 71, of Mansfield, died Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. Born December 14, 1941 in Mt. Vernon, he was the son of Marx and LaVawn (Petry) Branstool. Living his entire life in the area, Dennis was the owner and operator of Dennis' Barber Shop for 47 years. He was an active member of the Methodist Church of the Cross in Lexington where he started the Prayer Shawl Ministries, was an usher, and helped those in need as a Stephens Minister. To Dennis, his church was not just a place to congregate, everyone there was like his family. He was an accomplished artist in both knitting and stained glass and was an avid reader.
He is survived by his brothers, Larry (Anne) Branstool of Westminster, CA, Terry Branstool of Mt. Vernon, and Jerry Branstool of Charlotte, NC; nephews, Greg Branstool of Mt. Vernon, Rick Branstool of Columbus, and Aaron Branstool of Charlotte, NC; niece, Regan Branstool of Charlotte, NC; aunt, Phyliss Humbert of Millwood; dear friends, Barb and Woody Keller of Ontario; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Steve Branstool.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Dennis C. Branstool.
