George Fetch

MANSFIELD: George T. Fetch, 86, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

George is survived by his wife, Lena Hodge Fetch; one daughter, Cathy (Donald) Maxwell of West Salem; three grandchildren, Robert (Becky Greenburg) Wellman, Thomas (Jesse) Mahan, and Mallory Mahan; two great-grandchildren, Phoebe Rose and Calista Mae; two sisters, Marie (David) Price and Julie Colvin, all of MN; and his ex-son-in-law, Kenneth Mahan of AZ.

George was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dale Wellman; and one brother-in-law, Arthur Colvin.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Mansfield Memorial Park with Pastor John Wiseman officiating. R.C. Joint Veterans Burial Detail will perform Full Military Honors. Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, is handling the arrangements.

While working at the VA I have become very attached to several of the vets who come in. George was my absolute favorite. What a dear, sweet man! I will miss him very much. My condolences to the family in this saddest time.
