David Ronk Obituary
GREENWICH: David Kenneth Ronk, age 76, of Greenwich, died Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Willard Mercy Hospital after a 4 month illness.
He was born June 9, 1938 in Roachdale, Indiana, son of the late Ernest and Clarabell (Shaw) Ronk. Dave was raised in Richmond, Indiana where he was a 1956 graduate Richmond High School. While growing up he spent 6 years in the Belgian Congo with his missionary parents. He served in the U.S. Army Corp. Reserves from 1955-1958. Dave started working for R.R. Donnelley and Sons in Crawfordsville, Indiana then transferred to their Willard, Ohio plant. He raised his family in the Willard and Greenwich areas. Dave was a member of the Moose and Elk Lodges. He enjoyed golfing and gardening pumpkins for his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Roberta (Bobbi) Ronk; his children, Clara Ronk of Brooklyn, NY, Dane (Annette) Keiser of Greenwich, Teri (Greg) Stewart of Wadsworth, Ohio, Marsha Warnike of Naples, Florida, David (Kellie) Ronk, II of Westerville, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Hollie (Jamie) Conetta, Brooke (Troy) Roller, Courtney (Ben) Clement, Allison Walcher, Lauren (Chris) Morton, Cassidy Keiser, Riley Stewart, Elise Dolbier, McKenna Stewart,Avery Ronk, Ben Warnike; eight great grandchildren, Alex, Maxwell and Brady Conetta, Madelyn, Cohen, William and Alice Roller, Haley Clement; siblings, Lois Little of Chesterfield, VA, Tim Ronk of Houston, Texas, Sara Thornburg of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Grosh.
Friends may call from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, September, 11, 2014 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main, Greenwich. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Greenwich United Methodist Church, 18 East Main St., with Pastor Ruthie Trigg officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com
