Bradley Jay Batten

CRESTLINE: Bradley Jay Batten, 56, of Crestline, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus after a sudden heart attack.

Brad was born in West Virginia on September 8, 1958 to the late Jack and Marjorie (Hayes) Batten. He married Connie Estep Batten on June 21, 2008 and she survives him.

Brad and his twin brother Bart (The Batten Twins) were professional wrestlers for 23 years with the World Wrestling Council and won the Professional Wrestling Tag Team Championship. Brad was a teacher and a coach. He loved his family dearly but most of all he loved reading his bible and serving his Lord. Brad never met a stranger. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his son, Kyle (Lindsey) Bardwell, Tempe, AZ, his step children, Vanda (David) Lacey, Plymouth, Aaron (April) Estep, Bellville, Benji (Valerie) Estep, Shelby, his grandchildren, Haley, Magen and Noah Grasley, Addison Lacey, Tyler, Tanner and Trey Estep, Caylin and Kendall Estep, his great-grandson, Hayden Gray, his brothers, Jeffery Batten, TN, his twin brother, Bart (Tammy) Batten, his sisters-in-law, Sharon Norman and Kathie Hale, both of Crestline, and his best friend, Roger Roseberry.

He was preceded in death by his son Kevin, who died at birth and was Kyle Bardwell's twin, and his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Virginia Norman.

Friends may call Saturday from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Church Of God Of Prophecy. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Church Of God Of Prophecy, 300 E. Bucyrus St., Crestline, with Pastor Gary Grant officiating, and Brad's twin brother, Bart Batten.

Brad was a wonderful coworker and friend. He worked with me at my site. He loved his wife Connie with all his heart, she is what he talked about. We were both from the south and we talked about the wonderful smells of the mountains....he is truly missed, I have pics of him at the campsites with our clients, he was a lot of fun....he worked hard, and I have so many memories of him. RIP Brad, we will see you again in Heaven. So sorry for the families loss. Annie
