Amanda Eva Abbett

Amanda Eva Abbett
Passed away peacefully at her home on November 2nd, 2004 at the age of 95.
Beloved mother and best friend of Dorothy Olivera. Devoted grandmother of Daniel and Thomas Morton. Loving Auntie to Gloria McAllister. Best friend to Jane Dean. Leaving five generations to mourn her passing.
Amanda was born in Kansas on July 19th, 1909, one of 11 children. She was an employee of Sacramento DMV for more than 30 years. She moved to Marin County 25 years ago from Quincy, CA after the passing of her husband. Strongly family oriented, Amanda was as sharp as a tack to the very end and will be sorely missed by us all.
She was the last survivor of her 11 brothers and sisters. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Patricia Morton; Shelly and Matthew Dickson of Redding; Michael D. Morton; Michael P. Morton and seven great-great grandchildren.
A private Memorial will be held at Keaton's Redwood Chapel in Novato on Saturday, November 6th between the hours of 1 and 3 PM with a Service to follow at 3 PM and a private Burial in Quincy, CA.
Friends are invited after the Services to celebrate her life at the Family Home. Donations to Whistlestop or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, appreciated.
