Bonnie Peterson

Bonnie Peterson Bonnie was born in Wabasha, MN, on July 20, 1952, and spent her childhood in Alma, WI. She attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison and graduated with a degree in education. Upon graduation she pursued a Master's Degree in historical preservation at Oregon State University. Bonnie began her teaching career in the Kentfield School District in 1988 and was an Instructional Aide for 25 years. In 1995, she found her calling working to build the Resource Lab program at Kent Middle School. Bonnie's love of teaching and deep respect for children brought her into the lives of many families in Marin County as a teacher, tutor, babysitter and friend. Her greatest joy was raising her daughter Allison and being a mother. After a courageous 10-year battle with breast cancer, Bonnie passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 26. She is survived by her beloved daughter Allison Quinn, son-in-law Jonas Doberman, three brothers and three sisters, parents Palmer and Dorothy Peterson and numerous friends who have become family. A celebration of her life will be held at the Community Congregational Church in Tiburon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bonnie's name to the Kentfield Schools Foundation for use in the Resource Lab.
