CHARLES HARLEIGH GORDON

Charles Harleigh Gordon Aug. 4, 1977 ~ Mar. 16, 2013 Charles Harleigh Gordon (Harleigh) passed away on March 16 at his home in San Anselmo, California. His death was unexpected and we miss him terribly. Harleigh was born in Greenbrae, California and enjoyed a childhood rich in love, caring community and creative endeavors. Always a wonderful storyteller, Harleigh most recently worked with a team of friends to develop "Re-Evo-lution" - an animation for television about creating humane and sustainable community in the year 2049. In his search for the ideal balance between mental, physical and spiritual development, Harleigh pursued a martial arts practice and recently earned the respected title of sifu. Throughout his life, Harleigh's character remained constant - he was bright, kind, creative, gentle and deeply caring. His generous smile lit every room he entered and he delighted in the joys of family and friends. Everyone who knew Harleigh also knew his beloved dog Roscoe. The two of them were inseparable and to see them together was to know the true meaning of reciprocal devotion. Harleigh is survived by his mother Helen Beresini, his father William C. Gordon, and his brothers Jason Kersten and Lindsay Gordon. He also leaves grieving his uncle George Gordon, nieces Sabrina Schroeder and Diane Ellison, cousins Joe and Joy Allen, cousins Denise and Brooks Gordon, and stepmother Isabel Allende. We invite you to celebrate Harleigh's life by making a donation in his name to the Milo Foundation where hundreds of animals each year are saved from shelters and found loving homes.
