Cora Vivienne Bousquet

Cora Vivienne Bousquet Born on November 6, 2012 and known to those who loved her as little lion heart, left this life on July 16, 2013. Cora is survived by her mother, Michele, her father, Jason, and her four-year-old brother, Dominic, and her two-year-old sister, Cosette. She also leaves behind her grandparents, Margie and Gene Bousquet of Novato and Martha and Ken Fischer of Moraga, as well as her loving aunts, Amy Dale and Jennifer Toll, and her uncle, Mark Bousquet, and their families. In her brief time on this earth, Cora made a profound impact on her family, her caregivers, her friends, and the many, many people who never met her, but who came to know and love her through her mother's words, written faithfully each day on a blog about Cora's journey. Cora was born with congenital heart disease, and she bravely faced and overcame many challenges throughout her life. She spent many months at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, being cared for by, in the family's opinion, the world's best and most compassionate medical team. But Cora's challenges were only a small part of her story. The much larger legacy she leaves behind is the great love she inspired in her community, having led countless people toward perspective, clarity, prayer, togetherness, and gratitude. Everyone who met Cora or who read of her journey was changed for good. Her wise and knowing eyes, and her chubby little body will be sorely missed, as will her special gift of magically making everyone around her feel better. Cora's family invites you to get to know their sweet angel by visiting her blog www.coralionheart.blogspot.com. The family also invites you to celebrate her beautiful life at Saint Anselm Church in Ross, California at 10:00 AM on July 23. Donations in Cora's memory would be much appreciated and will be directed to Pediatric Intensive Care at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. Please make your check payable to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, PO Box 45339, San Francisco, CA 94145-0339.
