Glenn Perelson

Glenn Perelson Glenn won a few battles but lost his war with pancreatic cancer after two and half years on March 30, 2013. His children, Jessie Perelson Thomas, Josh Perelson, Alex Perelson, and his wife Ronna were at his side. Glenn was loved and cherished by many, but will be missed most by his wife and children, his son-in-law Brian Thomas, grandchildren Gabriella and Dylan, sister Linda Golden, brother-in-law Mike Goldenberg and best friends Gordon and Jan Cohen. Glenn was born on March 9, 1946 in Los Angeles, California. He earned a B.A. at UC Berkeley and participated in the anti-war movement in the 1960's. He studied history in Calgary then returned to LA with daughter Jessie in tow. He moved to Mill Valley in the early 70's and was dedicated to his children and sports. He is remembered for encouraging his children and their teammates at every soccer, baseball, and volleyball game. Glenn met Ronna in 1980 and they married in 1985. Glenn was passionate about his family, music, theater, sports, dance and had a wonderful sense of humor. Glenn had a successful career in Integrative Healthcare. As Marketing Director for Dean Ornish and Preventive Medicine Research Institute, Glenn convinced hospitals nationwide to offer the Ornish Lifestyle Program for reversing heart disease. This led to Medicare covering the program, which has helped save millions of lives. Glenn and Ronna started dancing five Rhythms in the late 1990's and Glenn attended class several times a week, making it his business to dance with everyone. He delighted in the number of people he danced with and the depth and playfulness of each dance. He was a gentle soul. A Memorial will be held April 12th at 7:00 PM at the Tam Valley Community Center at 203 Marin Ave. in Mill Valley.
