Jeanne Brindley

Jeanne Brindley Jeanne Perrine Elliott Brindley passed away at home on October 17, 2012 in the presence of family and friends. Jeanne was born in San Francisco, California on January 22, 1945 and spent her childhood in both San Francisco and Mill Valley. She attended Old Mill Elementary School and then Tamalpais High School, where she met and fell in love with Peter Brindley. Jeanne and Pete wed on April 2, 1967 and enjoyed a 38-year marriage until Pete's death in 2005. Jeanne is also preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Eleanor Elliott, and her sister, Judith (Elliott) Howe. She is survived by her children: Peter (Elayne) Brindley, Ronald (Shay) Brindley, and Michelle (Ted) Buell. In addition to several cousins, nieces, and nephews, Jeanne also leaves behind four grandchildren, who filled her life with joy: Madalyn and Benjamin Brindley, and Eleanor and Amelia Buell. Jeanne greeted everyone with kindness and always saw the good in people. She volunteered her time to the Mill Valley schools where her children attended, the Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club, and Big God Ministries, where she attended church. Jeanne's love of animals was evident in the number of pets she treasured throughout the years. She always said the best pets were the ones who found her, not the other way around. She loved to travel, play golf, and was an avid San Francisco Giants fan, even attending the World Series in 2010! She always found time to help others and left a lasting impression on each person she met. A Celebration of Jeanne's Life will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 2:00PM at the Marin Rod and Gun Club in San Rafael. Family members suggest a donation to Hospice by the Bay, to whom they are grateful for their care and kindness, or to Jeanne Brindley's star on Stand Up 2 Cancer: constellation.standup2
