Dr. Joan Therese Campagna

Dr. Joan Therese Campagna Oct. 15, 1953 - Dec. 29, 2012 Dr. Joan Campagna passed away peacefully in her sleep near her beloved husband of 30 years, Alan Markle. Joan was born in East Chicago, Indiana to Marie and Edward Campagna. Joan is the loving mother to Michelle and Philip Markle; sister to Janice Bess; brother to Jimmy and Eddie Campagna. Graduated with the first class of women from Notre Dame University and following in the footsteps of her father, earned her Medical Degree from Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University in Chicago. Completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at California Pacific Medical Center and her Fellowship in Rheumatology at Stanford University. Served as an Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF School of Medicine. Practiced Rheuma-tology in Marin County since 1984. Visitation is 5-7 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Monte's Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo. The Mass of Christian Burial is 1:00 PM, Friday, January 4, 2013 at St. Isabella Catholic Church, San Rafael. Burial Services follow at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
