Marcia Jayne-Gummer

Marcia Jayne-Gummer Passed away peacefully at home in Windsor on June 19, 2013, beloved mother of Lauren Christine and Garrett Lynn Brinker, and precious wife of Craig Gummer. Marcia's brief battle with kidney cancer has ended, yet her beauty, grace, and vibrant, loving spirit continue to shine for her family and adoring friends. Marcia Laureen Jayne was born November 24, 1958 in San Francisco, raised in Marin, and a 1976 graduate of Novato High School. In addition to Craig, Lauren and Garrett, her adoring mother Beverly Jo Jayne survives her. Her father Richard "Jack" Jayne preceded her in death in 1984. Marcia's children, Lauren and Garrett, her Laurnie and Buck, were her life's greatest gifts. They filled her heart with light and joy. Marcia's loving guidance and their precious relationship will continue to grace them both, now and forever forward. Marcia is survived by her siblings Mike Jayne (wife Cheryl, sons Cody, Tyler, Lucas); Michele Madsen (son Christopher Curtice); Mark Jayne (wife Shealon, daughters Allyson, Alexa, Jordan, and namesake grand-niece Lily Laureen); and Marty Jayne (children Keith, Karli, Breanna). Family was everything to Marcia. She was cherished by her surviving aunts and uncles David Tryon and John Konze, Dennis and Marlis Tryon, and Maxine Voigt, and cousins Loree Mackay, Virginia Sisley, Matthew Tryon, Benjamin Tryon, Steven Tryon, Victor Tryon, Kevin Tryon, Gregory Tryon, Robert Voigt Jr., Linda Kay Voigt, William Voigt, and Brian Voigt. Marcia will be deeply missed by her in-laws Allen and Dale Gummer and their family, Scott and Lisa Gummer (Ella, Swen, Calvin, Lars), Kristin and Peter Wion (Samantha and Mackenzie Jones), and Todd Gummer (Greta, Beck). Adventurous and impetuous, Marcia hiked most of Marin County as a girl and then circled the globe as a young lady. Educated and refined, she was a wine aficionado who excelled in the wine industry for more than twenty years representing Chalk Hill, Codorniu Napa, Kendall-Jackson, and La Crema. Thoughtful and professional, she excelled as a valued ten-year employee at Redwood Credit Union. Marcia's memorial service will be celebrated Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Roses in Santa Rosa. While Marcia embraced life's bounty and always believed "There can never be enough flowers", the family recommends donations be made in Marcia's memory to North County Hospice in Healdsburg or to The Ceres Community Project in Sebastopol, extraordinary organizations that provided a great deal of comfort to Marcia as she gracefully sailed into the mystic.
