Neil J.P. Sullivan Jan. 26, 1953 - Sep. 1, 2013 Neil J.P. Sullivan, 60, passed away Sunday at his home in Fairfield following a brief illness. Neil was born to John and Joan Sullivan in Massachusetts on January 26, 1953. He grew up in South Boston and at an early age made the decision to enlist in the Marines. As a loyal Marine he proudly served our country during the Vietnam Era. He was fortunate enough to utilize the G.I. Bill and attained a degree in Comparative Literature at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He worked as a real estate investor/property manager and has lived in the Bay Area since 1991. Neil was a member of Green Valley Country Club, the Vallejo Yacht Club and the Vallejo Elk's Lodge #559. He enjoyed gardening, travelling, swimming, fishing and playing golf with friends and soul mate, Jane Patocchi Sullivan. He was preceded in death by his father, John. Survivors include his wife, Jane; his mother, Joan; his brothers, Mark and Mike; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, September 9th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1050 N. Texas St., Fairfield. Burial and military honors will follow at Rockville Cemetery, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to the Department of Veteran's Affairs or the Wounded Warrior Project.
