Richard Dale Luehring(1945 - 2014)

Richard Dale Luehring Passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, from pneumonia following a stroke in October. He was born in Tyler, Texas in March 1945. Richard served for six years in the U.S. Air Force. During that time, he was assigned as Navigator and Electronics crew member on the SR 71 spy plane. After leaving the Air Force, he worked in electronics and had his own burglar alarm business, among other pursuits. He will be missed by his mother, Mary Luehring of Mill Valley, his sister, Shirley Luehring Kirby, his niece, Kelly Kirby Betz and his nephew, James Kirby, all of Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made in Richard's memory to Heartland Hospice in San Rafael.
