I remember Leon in the late 70 s I attended mill valley middle school..always had a smile on his face...so sorry to hear of his passing..he has a special spirit about him..I don't remember much from middle school age but I certainly remember mr Jones..condolence to his family and loved ones...

I love you grandpa. & I miss you so much , I remember when I was little and you would call me AAAWWEEE , wassup Oreo. Me and you would start laughing. I remember when I was in that bad situation and I walked into the house and their you were, and that was the first time I've seen you cry , and I cried too because my grandpa is a STRONG man and it broke my heart , and he told me I can't loose my granddaughter and I could tell he was hurting. And I promised him I would never be in a situation like that again. I remember when I first told him I was having a baby I was so scared to tell him, or hear what he might say, knowing my grandfather is not judgmental at all, I said grandpa I gotta tell you something , he says yea , I say I'm going to have a baby.... He says alright , we'll I'm not mad at you I love you and whatever you need me and grandma will help. I am so blessed GOD gave me a great grandfather like him . He was a man , who loved his family unconditionally , who wanted the BEST for us, who ALWAYS dreamt our dreams bigger than we had imagined for ourselves. I miss him so much , it kills me because I NEVER got to say goodbye or I love you for the last time , I know he knows that but if I had the chance to express that to him and look him in his eyes would had given me more satisfaction that he knew how I felt. I'm just glad my grandpa isn't in pain anymore or suffering. I love you grandpa always & forever we'll see you soon.

Leon was a great friend of all us kids at Edna Maguire and then MVMS. I had the pleasure of knowing him when I was an adult and he was always caring and considerate and took time to help. I will miss him and always remember him.

So sorry, I remember Leon from both Alto School and Edna Maguire. Late 60's/early 70's, he had a very cool van. Very nice man, still remembered after more than 40 years

I went to mvms in the early 80s and Leon was the best part of that school. Always had a kind word - a warm smile and told us to get to class !!! He truly was an angel then. Rest in love.
