Deborah Ross Obituary

Deborah Lynn Ross 7/11/1957 -10/9/2013 Administrative assistant to the Chief of Police, Mill Valley. Devoted wife, loving aunt, loyal sister, literary scrabble player Deborah was known for kind words, dry humor and discreet silence. Keep calm and carry on marked her approach to cancer treatment which Deborah battled for a number of years. Deborah's sense of adventure was fulfilled in part by roughing it in Alaska and Wyoming along with her husband Fred, as well as travel. She also fancied Jane Austin and enjoyed high tea in Victoria, B.C. Deborah is remembered by her spiritual brothers and sisters in the Mill Valley congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for her zealous part in sharing her hope in God's Kingdom as the hope for bringing peace to mankind. Her conviction took her even to war-torn regions to share this hope, including El Salvador and Northern Ireland. Deborah believed that her death is like a deep sleep which God will wake her from to a peaceful earth where he will wipe out every tear from the eye and death and mourning and pain will be no more. (Rev.21:3,4). A memorial service will be held at the Mill Valley Community Center Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mill Valley Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 11 Knoll Lane, Mill Valley, CA 94941.
