Angela Florence Wallace Obituary
Angela Florence Wallace Of Novato, died after a very brief illness on November 12, 2013. Born September 23, 1949 in Lexington, KY to John and Billie Wallace, she was raised in Northern California, graduating high school in Dixon, CA. She earned her BA at UC Santa Barbara then served two years in the Peace Corps in the Philippines. She received a Masters of Public Health at the School for International Training in VT, and worked for a year in India before eventually settling in Marin County. She was a pioneer and leader in the field of Professional Organization and served two years as the president of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO). During her two decades at NAPO, Angela achieved an international reputation as an inspiration, mentor and role model. Angela traveled extensively and lived a rich and full life. She was a steady and reliable presence to her family, friends and colleagues. She left us all too soon; however she will live on as an organ donor. Angela was preceded in death by her mother, Billie Hope Wallace, and is survived by her father Dr. John Wallace of San Diego, brothers Charles Wallace of Rancho Mirage, and Dr. John Wallace of Fort Bragg, CA, sisters Athena Kyle of San Francisco, Cheryl Wallace of Mill Valley, Margaret Wallace of San Rafael, CA, her nieces Kathleen Wallace, Emily Kyle, Sofia Wallace Heard, Xania Bytof, and her nephew David Wallace. There will be a celebration of life memorial Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 1:00-5:00 PM at the Next Key Center in the Key Room, 1285 N Hamilton Rd, Novato, CA. Donations in Angela's name can be made to the NAPO scholarship fund at www. napo.net/who/donate, the Girl Scouts of America at donate.girlscouts.org/give or any charitable organization you know Angela would support.
