Obituary Condolences

Bob Troppmann Age 89, of Corte Madera, died August 30, 2012. Lovable husband, father, and friend to many, he was born in San Francisco, thrived on the city play-grounds, and graduated from Lowell High School. He was commissioned a US Marine Lieutenant in the V 12 Program at the University of Redlands where he met the love of his life. He earned his Masters at San Francisco State. He led a full and passionate life as a high school teacher and football coach. In addition, he created California's first football camp, the Diamond B. He shared his love of the game in the six books he wrote. One of his many achievements was being inducted into seven Halls of Fame. He is survived by Marilyn, wife of 67 years, five children Jim (Ann), Joan, Jan (Tony), Judy (Tracie), and John (Susan), five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be remembered by the many athletes, students and friends whose lives he influenced. Of his many strengths, his greatest was his devotion to his family. Mass will be Friday, September 14, at St. Patrick's Church, 114 King St., Larkspur, 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marin Athletic Foundation, P.O.
