Carolyn Amberg
Beloved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend, died December 11, 2003 at her home in Novato surrounded by her family. Carolyn was a caring, passionate and creative woman. Her creativity and zest for life had enlightened and touched all who knew her. She was also a political activist, a "champion for the underdog", and looked at life with a sense of humor. Carolyn was born in Ashland, Ohio, December 2, 1925. She is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
She is survived by her four children: David Breskin, Catherine Nelson, Mary Carlsson and Julie Warde. She was preceded in death by her son, William John Amberg.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 240 Channing Way, San Rafael. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Avenue, Corte Madera, 94925.
