David H. Quinn Jr. Obituary
David H. Quinn, Jr. Passed on 05 August 2013 following a long battle with Parkinson's. Born on 01 July 1931 in Evanston, Il. He was the son of WWI USN aviator David H. Quinn, Sr. His mother was Hope Naylor of Salt Lake City. Raised in San Mateo until 1944 then in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Graduated Stanford in 1953 with a commission in the USAF. Trained in jet fighters, he flew various aircraft until retiring USAF-R as a Lt Col in 1981. He joined Pan American in 1956 and flew the world in various passenger aircraft during aviation's golden age, eventually retiring in 1991 as a B747 Captain at United Airlines. He lived in Tiburon since 1964. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Jo Ann; two children, Paul Quinn of Rohnert Park, and Laura Bueermann of Portland, Oregon; and three grandchildren. At his request no formal services will be held. Memorial contributions to: Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Fisher House Foundation, Inc., or Marin Humane Society.
