David Ralph Codoni Obituary
David Ralph Codoni David Ralph Codoni died peacefully January 3 at the age of 75, surrounded by his loving family. David was born in San Rafael on May 3, 1938, son of the late Frederick Quinto and Ruth S. Codoni and great grandson of Marin County pioneer Quinto Codoni. He attended St. Raphael's Grammar School, Marin Catholic High School and the College of Marin. He was the third generation in the family's automotive business founded by his grandfather Joseph Codoni, working with his father at a service station at Fourth and Lincoln in San Rafael; later the station moved to Ignacio and then to Bel Marin Keys where his son Kevin and grandson Brendan continue the auto repair business. David and his family lived in San Anselmo for many years before moving to Rohnert Park. He enjoyed drag racing and railroad photography and was active in San Anselmo children's sports. He served in the United States Army. Survivors include Rosemarie, his wife of 52 years; children Kevin (Maria), Lori, Steven (Vicki) and Vicki (Juan) and grandchildren; Brendan, Gracie, Bridget, Ruth, Nichole, Justin, Haley, David, Joey, Angela, John and Cassie; brother Fred (Denyce) and cousin Robert Leary (Stephanie) Although he struggled with Parkinson's disease for over 20 years he never let it stop him from being a wonderful father and grandfather. Recitation of the rosary will be at Monte's Chapel of the Hills, 330 Red Hill, San Anselmo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday January 9, 2014. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Anselm's Church, 97 Shady Lane, Ross, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday January 10, 2014. Monte's Chapel of the Hills, 415-453-8440
