DENNIS FOSTER Obituary

Dennis Michael Foster Nov. 29, 1955-Nov. 5, 2010 Dennis Foster passed away peacefully at his home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He leaves behind his wife Renate, his daughters Constance and Julia, his father Lewis Foster, his brother Richard Foster (Natalie) and his sister Julianne Carter (Bob). He will also be missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law Klaus Hottes and Kelly Smith, Phillip and Eva Schlenker as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. His mother Constance Joan Foster preceded him in death. Dennis was born in Upland California and grew up in Whittier. He graduated from San Jose State University in 1981. Dennis worked for many years at Safeway and later worked at Andronicos Market in San Anselmo. Dennis will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love and devotion to his family and friends. He had a passion for reading, wine and music. With his amazing memory of details, he loved to entertain family and friends with stories of his youth. He had a warmth and compassion that he shared with everyone he knew as well as customers he served at Andronicos Market. He will be greatly missed by all. A memorial gathering for family and friends will take place at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Marin, San Rafael on Tuesday, November 16th at 1:00PM.
