ELIZABETH MASSEY Obituary

Elizabeth Jayne Massey Went to our Lords Arms on November 12, 2010 to join her adoring husband Carl W. Massey who passed away 25 years ago. Not a day went by that she did not proclaim her faithful love for her Carl. Jayne was born Elizabeth J. Harris in Illinois on June 29, 1921. World War II brought Jayne out to Calif. She told her many stories about her life with a great passion which included how she piloted her own airplane from Illinois to California to be by our dad's side at Mare Island. She was also a world traveler. Jayne taught school in Corte Madera for 50 years and called Mill Valley home until 3 1/2 years ago when she moved to Rohnert Park to be close to her daughter. Jayne was at home when she died with her daughter Virginia and pet Shitzu Beau by her side. Besides Virginia, she is survived by two other daughters Carol E. Zimmerman of Phoenix, AZ, and Natalie Roberts of Sebastopol as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A small memorial will be held at the Presidio National Cemetery in San Francisco on Monday Nov. 29 at 2:00PM.

Rest in Peace

November 26, 2010

Remembering Jayne from Neil Cummins so long ago.
She was so gentle with the students. And a good friend of Evie Hurd from the Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club.
She will be missed.
