Dear Helen,
Though I only met Frank Sr. once at one of his grandson's, Buddy's, baseball games in Palo Alto, I was impressed by his demeanor and support of his grandson. Over the years I learned more about his tremendous career in law enforcement service along the Peninsula and I continue to cherish my friendships with his Palo Alto family, Frank and Rebecca (and Buddy) in Palo Alto and also my business relationship with his son, Frank, through his advice and work on several construction projects. What a wonderful family! A great loss.
Sincerely and with heartfelt sentiment for your loss Helen,

Dear Helen,
Nick and I are very sad to hear of Frank's passing. What memories we have when we all lived in Palo Alto in the 60's. Frank was always smiling, so friendly, taller than life. What a great guy he was!
Our deepest condolences to you and your sons.

Frank will be missed. He made tremendous contributions to the field of Law Enforcement and in particular to the San Rafael Police Department. He was an exceptional man, a great Chief and one who stood tall. He was kind, loved kids and went out of his way to help others. Most of all, he was a good friend to me and my family.

Frank brought the SRPD into step with modern law enforcement. His dedication, and the keen sense of humor with which he displayed it, will never be forgotten by those of us who served with him. Truly a man of integrity. Rest in peace, Chief.

My most sincere condolences to you, Helen, and family. Frank truly was a wonderful man! Cheryl and I so enjoyed being your neighbors across the street-- and could always count on Frank to be there if we needed a man to solve a problem for us. We won't forget the fun times we shared with all of you, all those decades ago (in our "singles" days)-- great stories, fun conversation and lots of laughs-- seems Frank always had a corny joke to tell! He will truly be missed my many.

I had the honor of working with Frank, I as a police officer, and he as my chief, but more importantly, I was and still am proud to call him a friend, who will be missed. RIP my friend.
